1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear Headphone Review: Form A to Z

There are several options available if you’re looking for a pair of in-ear headphones for less than $100 (£70 or AU$150). Many earbuds at that low price usually have a fatal problem, whether it’s a less-than-stellar build quality, device incompatibility, or the fact that they don’t fit your ears well enough to be comfortable. There are many earbuds that sound wonderful, but many at that low price usually have that flaw. Finding a set of headphones that fulfills all of our requirements without costing an arm and a leg has proven to be challenging.
The 1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear Headphones, which are currently among the best inexpensive headphones, changed all of that, though. If 1MORE is a firm you haven’t heard of, pay attention because it deserves to be on your radar.
The Triple Driver in-ear headphones from 1MORE stand out from the company’s selection of over-ear and in-ear headphones. During our time with them over the past several weeks, we were astounded by how much they gave for the price range, easily competing with some of the greatest headphones.
Design
The 1MORE Triple Driver in-ear headphones have a stylish appearance that is understated but distinctive once you hold them in your hands.
The actual earbuds are made of rose gold-colored aluminum that has been machined. (And no, it isn’t the pink hue that Apple attempts to pass off as rose gold on the iPhone 7; rather, it is the true shade of gold blended with copper.)
The angled earphones themselves provide a comfortable fit in the ear. They don’t sit fully flush and barely protrude from the wall. The Triple Drivers keep a very low profile with your ears, even if you won’t want to sleep with them.
Now let’s talk about the cable. 1MORE chose two distinct textures. The cables that exit the Y-connector and link to each earbud are made of rubber, however the cable connecting the Y-connector to the 3.5mm jack is covered in fabric for durability. Rubber wires tend to snag on itself or on clothing, thus we don’t like them. Although the 1MORE Triple Drivers are accountable for this, it’s not a deal-breaker.
Not every headphone can accomplish this, which is why there are headphones designed specifically for Android and iOS. The headphones have a three-button control that works with both iOS and Android.
Here is the one and only problem we have with the headphones: In particular when compared to the 1MORE Quad Driver headphones, which include a remote made of aluminum, the remote is made of plastic and feels cheap.
Performance
The 1MORE Triple Driver excels in sound quality. Although the balanced but slightly warm sound signature didn’t first wow us, we learned to value the balance and detail the Triple Drivers produced.
The music has an excellent feeling of space and is incredibly detailed. Complex tunes don’t sound jumbled because each layer of the instruments can be heard. Although there are in-ear headphones with greater detail available, the price will be significantly higher.
The rich mids help to emphasize human voices. The 1MORE Triple Drivers have a warm tonal balance, even more so than the 1MORE Quad Drivers, thanks to a modest mid-bass bump.
Regarding the Quad Drivers, the Triple Drivers fall short of them in terms of detail, spaciousness, and balance, but the distinctions between the two models are so negligible that it’s difficult to find anything wrong with the more affordable Triple Driver. But, choose the Quad Drivers if you desire more overall refinement, intricacy, and build quality.
Excellent bass with excellent extension and impact. The mid-bass bump contributes to the overall warm sound of the headphones without overpowering it.
Not to mention, the 1MORE Triple Drivers produce a good seal that helps block out noise. Although not having active noise cancellation, they have more than adequate passive noise isolation to block out the outside world during your commute.
Final verdict
We were astounded by how much value both of the 1MORE Triple Driver in-ear headphones and the 1MORE Quad Driver in-ear headphones offered in their respective pricing categories after using them both for a few weeks.
It’s difficult to imagine a finer sounding and constructed headset for $100 (£100, around AU$168) than the 1MORE Triple Driver. In spite of this, even at double the cost, the 1MORE Quad Drivers are still a great deal if you want a little bit more elegance and finesse.
There isn’t anything we can criticize about the Triple Drivers. These are minor quibbles, but its rubber cable is a pain, and the remote seems cheap. The Triple Driver in-ear headphones from 1MORE are among the best options available for the money.
I suppose we may include these on our list of the best in-ear headphones.
