Windows phone 📱 were too complicated to use, also they under mined the giant iPhone

I wish it didn’t fail

Windows phones 7-8 were sooo good back then! So incredibly reactive and light on the hardware. It felt like a downgrade when I switched for a more powerful android. But yes… We needed aaaaaapps. Even non optimized ones!

They could revive the Windows phones now (with Android apps available) and it would still feel very relevant for today

1:02 buttons even though took up half the phone is way much more accurate to type than touchscreen keyboard.

Abdessamed Ben 22/11/2021 - 04:54

I still love Windows Phone

Nick Ash 22/11/2021 - 04:54

Funny thing is that the windows phones I used were great phones in every respect, long battery life, great performance, great cameras, I still think the windows os is superior to even the android on my galaxy s8, I owned a nokia 520,640,930 even the 520 (low spec) was super smooth in operation , only the camera let it down, the 930 was my favourite phone I ever owned, great camera, screen, battery life, performance, sad that it never took off, miss my windows phones to this day…odd thing is, you could pick up a nokia 930,950 today and the user experience , apart from apps, is just as good as a Samsung s8….

Lanre Amoo 22/11/2021 - 04:54

The most painful is the Nokia brand that died with window phones

Lachlan. 22/11/2021 - 04:54

You said Microsoft had more experience with mobile technology than apple or google ? Ummm…. The iPod?

TheUntrueWaffle 22/11/2021 - 04:54

I had a nokia lumia 635 in 2016, it was an okay phone, it was quite annoying having a very limited selection of apps.

Ifti Flo 22/11/2021 - 04:54

I've had a windows phone a Lumia 925 and it was the most qualitative phone i've ever had. All aluminium construction,Zeiss camera and amoled screen at an affordable price.

Same fate than Digital Research's CP/M in 80's.

Hindi naman ako magsalita kung hindi lang nyo ginawa yung sa 2016 at yan pa palabas na judge mentality, walang higanti kung walang ginawa sakin. Dba?
Basta sa pasko at new year, titingnan natin anong gawin nyo.
Remember show no love or care and also the most important, no plastic

visualskyman 22/11/2021 - 04:54

then they were the only decent phone OS, "windows mobile 5", microsoft, did not bother to do anyhing for windows mobile, we did not have capacitive screen touch, scroll and interface was dated..
and when android and ios came out, they did not do anyhing, i believe thanks to steve balmer blunder, they just lost their user base, including me..
i wanted to go to IOS, but it was too exclusive to purchase (as in it came bundled with expensive phone plans) so i went with android and didnt look back since..
Leadership is important…

I still got like 3 windows phones here but only one of them works. I remember jjst finding pokemon fire red on the app store but the sound was pretty bad. It always slowed down in battles but it was always fun playing it

samir m 22/11/2021 - 04:54

Cuz they're sucks

brad miller 22/11/2021 - 04:54

The only windows phone I ever had will go down in my personal history as the suckiest phone I've ever owned. And I've owned alot.

Gamertag YoDz 22/11/2021 - 04:54

I got the windows phones solely for earring Xbox achievements on the go. The games available were actually pretty good for being mobile games as well

I don't need stuff from the year 4000 im mostly just curious what exists in that time

But so much can fit in 2000 years. Just imagine the year 1AD. So many future changing events have happened. The strongest country in the world doesn't even exist anymore. And considering something world wide news worthy happens every year and a huge event happens every 10 years and a life changing event happens every 100 years…. just what happens every 1000 years

ncisgreat 22/11/2021 - 04:54

There were smart phones with full screen

Zain Uddin 22/11/2021 - 04:54

Basically the hardware was terrible

Amir Alavi 22/11/2021 - 04:54

What's mentioned here is not really the main issue. The main problem was lack of continuity. Windows Mobile 6, 7, and 8 were all incompatible with each other while most Android apps could run on various different versions of the OS. You can't expect developers to rebuild or modify their apps whenever Microsoft decided to reinvent the wheel.

Silv Fur 22/11/2021 - 04:54

The comment is writen from my nokia Lumia 630

TheConorsmithusa 22/11/2021 - 04:54

I never even heard of a phone made by windows and I've used mobile phones since the late 90s

Andrei 22/11/2021 - 04:54

Classic example of what happens when a business man is given the CEO position. They make rash decisions for the sake of sales figures. That may work for some businesses, but it's not a "one size fits all" solution.

CapDat37 22/11/2021 - 04:54

It was not a mistake, US goverment was over Microsoft due to monopolyct problems then they had to sacrifice Windows phone

Syed Misbah 22/11/2021 - 04:54
